Hello, It seems the Blackjack Website disappeared.
I am curious if anyone knows where there are made now and who is manufacturing them now.
If click the following article are referring to the old Blackjacks from back in the 90's, they were made in Seki, Japan.
If I remember correctly, the company went belly up.
The brand was then revived and proceeded to bounce around a bit.
Since their rebirth, they have been American made.
For awhile they were made by Bark River.
Then a company named Knifeware took over.
Then Smokey Mountain Knifeworks and Blue Ridge Knives took over.
Oh, and to confuse matters more they had a line of Blackjacks made in Buy blackjack knives />From what I have heard any of the A2 models have always been buy blackjack knives knives, regardless of which company made them.
Affirmative on the Bark River.
Mike Stewart made the Effingham's and Knifeware branded also.
The Effinghams were made in Illinois.
He reground the edge on mine for free when I effed it up severely.
Regards Yes they are made by Bark River and have a lifetime warranty.
Excellant knives,the 125 is a beast,124 is a nice size.
If you watch amazon you can get a excellant price on the 124's.
Bark River only makes the fixed blades though.
You can pretty much be certain of the manufacture by the price and style.
I've got a stag handled model 1-7 I could be talked into selling.
I can polish it off buy blackjack knives needed.

I'm looking to ask my wife to get this Model 125 for me for Christmas.
I hadn't heard of them before tonight.
I'm sure you both visit web page smiling down upon us.
Phineas Edgar Horton, Oct.
My Father in Law, who always treated me as his own son, you will be sorely missed.
A2 steel is a very good alloy, takes and holds a good edge.
Blackjack makes some of the best looking production knives for the money out there, and you will like it.
I actually prefer the Model 5, just because I like the bowie style, but the 125 will be an excellent hunter.
From what I can tell Blackjack has two lines, one made in China and the other American-made, AKA the Blackjack Classics.
The Model 125 is one of the Classics.
The Classics have convex-ground A2 blades and are very nice knives.
You won't go wrong with the 125.
Here's a picture of mine to help you with your decision.
If it doesn't work you can always hit them with it.
It is a really impressive knife.
A-2 tool steel hardened to 58 RC is perfect.
I really like the grind and the shape of the blade.
It has a nice belly for skinning or any cutting chore.
It's priced right, so you won't have to avoid using it and enjoying it, as you might baby an expensive custom.
It's a handy size that you can control for finner jobs, but large enough to perform tuff chores.
The only problem if your luck is like mine is you could lose it.
I hope that you get it and enjoy the hell out of it.
Best ,Lyle Brian; Do you plan on using it for hunting?

Best ,Lyle Those are exactly my plans.
I want something with great quality buy blackjack knives I'm not afraid to use.
You want to talk about a user knife, I've got to get my car knife out of the console and post a pic.
It was my Grandpa's and it's an old Remington fixed blade that's about an inch shorter now with a pitted, stained blade and gouges in the handle.
It sits in a FUGLY beat up homemade sheath.
I think read more grandpa may have kept it in the bottom of a tackle box or something, the way it looks.
I'm sure you both are smiling down upon us.

Sounds like the old Boker knife my Dad used for hunting it has dressed out a LOT of deer!
I keep it wiped down;but,it has seen much better days.
I don't use it,as it is a keep-sake.
Pretty sure he ordered it out of "Herter's" catalog.
Brian, that Blackjack looks like a fine blade!
I like the stag handled one, myself.
Maybe it is soldered?

Thanks, Brian excellent knives.
Convex grind great steel, A2.
BTW: knives ship free is having a sale on the Blackjack Jet Pilot Survival knife.
The code is HELPWENDY.
Don't know about the new Blackjacks.
I have a collection of probably a dozen or so from when they were made in Effingham Ill.
The A2 is tough stuff and the convex grind is incredibly strong.
If the current Classics are made as well as the old Effinghams were, then it's a lot of knife for the money.
Les Baers are the blonde nympho who goes with you to see Nugent in concert.

I have a Bark River Bravo1, and am very impressed.
I haven't had the chance to put it through it's paces, but it feels like it should hold up no problem, and they also have a lifetime warranty.

I have heard of very few bad things charts blackjack counting a Bark River knife.
Bark River was started by Mike Stewart, the same guy who was behind Blackjack knives.
Blackjack went bankrupt and hopefully Stewart learned from that experience.

That sounds familar, oh buy blackjack knives i live in effingham, go figure.
Probably the best knife i have ver owned is the trailboss.
I used it three deer seasons in a row, before having to have to resharpen.
At the end they were doing the kryo-freeze process to their blades which made them that muct harder and sharper.
The newer ones are produced, ultimately, under the same guidance as the older ones and with the lessons learned in the intervening decade and a half.
I would assume them to be just as good if not better.
Probably need to pick up a couple.
Mike Stewart is good people, as far as I'm buy blackjack knives />He went above and beyond for me on a knife a few years ago and customer service like he gave wins me over every time.
I shouldn't look at this section.
I can see myself buying a knife today.
I have had several I have two left.
All mine have been the double guard.
Much better for hunting.
I had a couple Effinghams, but I can not remember what steel they were marked.
I just gave away a Greenville and it was marked 1082?
My new ones are the current manufacture and are A-2 tool steel.
The currant ones have the best sheathes I have seen on a production knife.
For those that don't know about convex grind read up and look at a bunch of You tubes videos about the special technique for sharpening.
Don't worry about it being different, because it easy, and kinda fun.
The black handle one shown here here was with me for about a month straight as a test of sorts and for the heck of it I cut every thing from gasketsand fuel line to little branches and balled up hay baler twine jams.
I was watching to see how often I had to sharpen it.
I doesn't need it yet and i decided making it dull on purpose just because I was curious about sharpening it was dum even by my standards.
I think these knives are the best knife for the money and I think the market will bear a higher price and expect them to go up.
The tool steel is not a stainless so keep them cleansmeer of oil, and don't store them in the sheathe.
They come so sharp, a bunch of people feeling them the first time they handle them cut themselves.
If you don't watch it putting the knife back in the sheath you can go right througfh it.
I handed the here to a friend who wanted to cut the tail off the coyote he just shot.
He held the tail in one hand and buy blackjack knives the knife through the base of the tail right above the coyote exhaust.
The look on his face was hilarious because it went through so fast and smooth he thought he had missed the tail.
